The Battle Plan, Part 1

Concept design for the Monaco

Starting an automotive company is hard. The product is expensive, iteration is out of the question (not even billionaires can do it), the competition is fierce, and innovation is against the law. So how do we address this? We have a few ideas:

1. SCALE

It’s the only way to get costs down without compromising quality. Scale, however, requires massive investment in factories and services. But we’re gonna take a different approach…

2. STATE-OF-THE-ART PRODUCTION

We’ve invested in an army of 3D printers working 24/7. It’s the future, especially as printers get cheaper, faster and materials get stronger. We can produce, test and iterate at a fraction of the time it used to take. Currently, we can spit out a completely new car model every year and it’s only going to get faster and cheaper from here.

3. BE OURSELVES

As more players enter the field, it becomes harder to stand out. But as long as we stay true to ourselves, our voice and style will remain unique. Mix that in with some science and tech and I think you’re going to see some sh*t that will blow your minds.

4. FLY UNDER THE RADAR

Innovation is against the law; this is probably the hardest one to overcome. If anyone has any suggestions, I’m all ears. For now here’s our solution: build cars and bikes faster than the police.

The Battle Plan, Part 2: stay tuned.
